As a community-based focul point, the Himeji International Exchange Center works for promoting internationalization in Himeji by collectiong and providing necessary information, supporting volunteers and NGOs and liaising with administrations, schools and private enterprises. The Center also provides consultation for non-Japanese residents.

The Gender Equality Promotion Center (GEPC) is designated to promote a gender-equal society in Himeji where both men and women share their roles and responsibilities. The Center provides information and consultation to help women participate in social activities as well as supports for solving issues.

The name, "I-messae" stands for "I message" & "Message with Love"; Irrespective of gender, we can voice our opinions and feelings.
